Made up of Mandy Sunlight and Rouati Waata. We are a Toi-ihi registered (Maori mark of authenticity) mother and daughter team. With over 40 years of weaving between us, we love working with korari (flax) from our own plantings and using a mixture of traditional and contemporary Maori styles. The flax is either dyed or undyed and woven into both decorative and functional pieces that are strong and light weight.

We love to weave a great variety of things. From basic functional kete (bags) or evening purses through to large wall installations, short cloaks for celebrations or ceremonies, or small wall pieces using traditional techniques and dyes from the bush. As plain or colourful as you like, funky or traditional or a combination of both.
