Deborah van Praagh,
Principal of Fleeting T-shirts says of herself:
Fleeting T-shirts started in 2002, when I began designing and making T-shirts for my daughter and her friends. Reaction was very positive and I decided to turn the hobby into a business. I now supply 22 high-end fashion shops throughout New Zealand.
My love of art, sewing, gardening, travel and living in the Pacific inspires my designs. I also love feathers, fur and lace, fashion of the 40s and 50s, and watch old movies on MGM with my sketchpad on my lap.
I trained as a Graphic Artist and for many years have taught Screen Printing and Art. I specialize in limited edition funky, high quality, hand-finished T-shirts for a select market. I think of my T-shirts as my canvas. They make a fashion statement and always attract a positive reaction. Without doubt the humble T-shirt has come of age.
My designs are on black or white shirts only, V or scooped neck, short or 3/4 sleeve, sizes 8-16. The shirts do not pill and are made from high quality cotton with 8% elastine to keep their shape.
