Alethea Taylor

Alethea creates solid sterling silver jewellery cast from moulds of shells found in the Pacific region. She lives in Dunedin and prefers to work with natural materials, enjoying the textures and small variations that are intrinsic to such things. One of her favourite occupations is beach combing and devising creative ways of designing and making original pieces from the shells she finds. Alethea says she has been a passionate jewellery maker for many years and is largely self taught.
