Dave Beddek is a woodturner who works with Kauri which he and his partner Chris decorate using paua shell, ebony and a form of screen printing. Because Kauri has been excessively milled, Dave and Chris Beddek prefer to use timber which has been recovered from old branches and stumps left in the bush from the heavy milling that took place earlier last century.

John Ecuyer is a noted contemporary New Zealand woodturner and jewellery artist whose work is to be found in collections throughout the world. His work includes a pacific styled serving bowl carved from Pohutukawa with brass and silver decorations, a Pacific style Inlaid Bowl made from Purple Heart (a South American timber) with paua shell, patinated copper and brass decoration, a Pacific Pearl serving bowl made from Black Maire and decorated with Patinated copper, Pearl shell and Shark teeth, and Pacific Serving Bowl carved from Black Maire, with patternated copper and paua.

Wayne Ross' bowls and sculptures are made from Ancient New Zealand Swamp Kauri which has an estimated age of 2000 to 5000 years. Swamp Kauri, which is found only in the top half of New Zealand, is the oldest workable wood in the world. It's awesome natural character is amazingly exploited by Wayne Ross into works of art which entice the viewer to touch and stroke and smell them. Wayne particularly like to use the stump which has a very beautiful marble like grain that varies between pale brown, almost green and burnt black.

Cees Romeyn of Romeyn Woodcrafts manufactures wooden spiral tablemats and coasters. This is a family run business whose products are original designs and hand crafted from native New Zealand timbers. Their tablemats and coasters make ideal gifts for any occasion, supplied in a unique presentation box.

Mike Lewis started his career as a professional wood artist over 10 years ago. Since coming to New Zealand, in 2000 he has won many awards for his work, including "Best on Show" at the Auckland Royal Easter Show. Much of his work is bought by international collectors.
